Background

Hunter Consulting & Training was established in August, 2007 by Ernest R. Hunter Sr. after completing two very successful careers as a Naval Officer, retiring at the rank of Captain (O-6) as Commanding Officer of a major Naval Facilities Engineering organization, and as Director of Physical Plant and Facilities Services for The University of Texas at Austin. Hunter Consulting & Training has performed facilities management consulting projects for Colleges and Universities independently as well as under an alliance with Hickling & Associates of Chicago (See Current/Previous Projects).

Mr. Hunter's business plan is to remain focused on Hunter Consulting & Training's two current focus areas of (1) Facilities Management Consulting; and (2) Facilities Management computer application development, support, and training (see CleanOpsStaff-3ed, MainOpsStaff-2ed and GroundsOpsStaff-3ed).

Hunter Consulting & Training developed a computer-based College and University staffing application based on the APPA Operational Guidelines for Facilities Maintenance; APPA Operational Guidelines for Ground Management; and the APPA Custodial Staffing Guidelines for Educational Facilities. These products are sold on the APPA online bookstore (see Maintenance Guidelines/MainOpsStaff Package; Custodial Guidelines/CleanOpsStaff Package; and Grounds Guidelines/GroundsOpsStaff Package)
