​About CleanOpsStaff-3ed-ProMobile-PC

​

CleanOpsStaff-ProMobile-PC is a CleanOpsStaff-3ed upgrade that allows you to use a  Smartphone, Pocket PC or other Windows Mobile device,  and Android devices  with CleanOpsStaff-3ed. We will refer to all of thesew Devices as Hand Helds.

What you need to use CleanOpsStaff-ProMobile

​

  • A Windows Mobile Device such as a PDA, SmartPhone, Pocket PC, or other Windows Mobile Device.

  • Windows ActiveSync (Windows XP) or Windows Mobile Device Center (Vista) running on your PC/Laptop and Microsoft Windows ActiveSync running on the PDA. These programs can be downloaded from the Microsoft website (The first time you plug a Windows Mobile device into a computer that is connected to the Internet and running Windows Vista, Windows Mobile Device Center should automatically download and install on the computer). ActiveSync can be downloaded from http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=15

  • Your PDA must be connected to your PC/Laptop via USB cable or Bluetooth.

  • You must purchase the CleanOpsStaff-ProMobile upgrade from Hunter Consulting and Training to run CleanOpsStaff-ProMobile full features on the PC/Laptop and PDA. You can run CleanOpsStaff-ProMobile in Demo mode for evaluation and training purposes without purchasing an upgrade.

  • The CleanOpsStaff-ProMobile upgradde from Hunter Consulting and Training comes with one PDA Activation Key. You are licensed to use a PDA Activation Key on only one PDA at a time.
     

Activating CleanOpsStaff-ProMobile-PC/PDA on PC/Laptop

  1.  CleanOpsStaff-ProMobile for the PC and the PDA comes with the CleanOpsStaff program when you download CleanOpsStaff from the Hunter Consulting and Training download server. It can be run in Demo mode on the PC/Laptop and PDA immediately with certain limitation.

  2. To activate CleanOpsStaff-ProMobile-PC, go to the Hunter Consulting and Training purchase page and purchase the CleanOpsStaff-ProMobile upgrade. Your upgrade will be activated in the Hunter Consulting and Training upgrade database on the Hunter Consulting and Training upgrade server.

  3.  Upon receipt of the upgrade activation email from the upgrade server, run CleanOpsStaff and stop at the Program Manager.

  4. Click the 'CleanOpsStaff-Pro Upgrade' button in the left panel of the Program Manager.

  5. The CleanOpsStaff Upgrade and Add-In Status window and the Activate All CleanOpsStaff-Pro Upgrade message box will appears (it might take a few moments for your syetem to retrieve your upgrade status from the upgrade server -- please be patient)

  6. Click 'Yes' in the Activate All CleanOpsStaff-Pro Upgrade message box.

  7. Click 'Yes', and 'OK' when prompted to do so. CleanOpsStaff-ProMobile-PC is will be activated on your PC/Laptop.

    • IMPORTANT NOTE: Once CleanOpsStaff-ProMobile-PC is activated on your PC/Laptop, it can work with any PDA running CleanOpsStaff-ProMobile-PDA even if the PDA was activated by a different Product Code from a different PC/Laptop.
       

Installing CleanOpsStaff-ProMobile-PDA on a PDA
 

Note: Because of the many different variaties of Windows Mobile devices, these instructions may require slight deviation for your specific PDA.

  1. Connect a PDA to your PC/Laptop and ensure you have an ActiveSync connection between your PDA and PC/Laptop.

  2. Run CleanOpsStaff and stop at the Program manager. Click the 'PDA Manager' button in the Action Button group in the left panel of the Program manager. The CleanOpsStaff-ProMobile PDA Manager Window will appear.

  3. Click the 'Connect to PDA' button to connect the PDA to the PDA Manager if it the status indicates the PDA is not connected. The three 'Status Boxes' at the bottom of the CleanOpsStaff-Program PDA Manager Window will let you know if the PDA is Connected or Disconnected; if CleanOpsStaff-ProMobile-PDA is Installedor Not Installedon the PDA; and if CleanOpsStaff-ProMobile-PDA is Activated or Not Activated on the PDA

  4. If the Install status is Not Installed, click the 'Install CleanOpsStaff-ProMobile on PDA' button and follow the instruction if the popup message box.

  5. CleanOpsStaff-ProMobile-PDA is now installed on your PDA and can run in DEMO mode. You can always reinstall CleanOpsStaff-ProMobile-PDA on your PDA at any time.
     

IMPORTANT NOTE: If the above installation did not work or if you get a message on your PDA telling you that you are missing components or files such as missing a newer version of "Microsoft .Net Compact Framework", then follow the below instructions to run the two below CAB files located in the PDA "\Windows\Start Menu" folder:

  1. In the PDA, tap Start. 

  2. Navigate to File Explorer and tap it. 

  3. Navigate to Windows and tap it. 

  4. Navigate to Start Menu and tap it. 

  5. For Window Mobile 2003, Find the "System_SR_ENU.CAB" and "NETCFv2.ppc.armv4.cab" file and tap on each of them to install the missing components and files. Or 

  6. For Window Mobile 5.0 or higher, Find the "System_SR_ENU.CAB" and "NETCFv2.wm.armv4i.cab" file and tap on each of them to install the missing components and files. 

  7. For Window Mobile 6.0 or higher, Find the "System_SR_ENU_wm.cab" and "NETCFv2.wm.armv4i.cab" file and tap on each of them to install the missing components and files.

  8. Re-Install CleanOpsStaff-ProMobile on the PDA.

    • NOTE: On some PDAs these two CAB files may be located in "\Windows\Start Menu\Programs" folder. This step 7 is likely to be required for device running versions of Windows Mobile less than 5.0 or running Windows Mobile 2003. If the NETCF file does not install on your PDA, then consult your IT group to get .Net Compact Framework 2.0 installed on your PDA.

    • Note: See 'PDA Activation' instructions to activate CleanOpsStaff-ProMobile-PDA on your PDA.
       

 Un-Installing (Remove) CleanOpsStaff-ProMobile from a PDA

  1.  Connect a PDA to your PC/Laptop and ensure you have an ActiveSync connection between your PDA and PC/Laptop

  2. Run CleanOpsStaff and stop at the Program manager. Click the 'PDA Manager' button in the Action Button group in the left panel of the Program manager. The CleanOpsStaff-ProMobile PDA Manager Window will appear.

  3. Click the 'Connect to PDA' button to connect the PDA to the PDA Manager if the PDA status is disconnected. The three 'Status Boxes' at the bottom of the CleanOpsStaff-Program PDA Manager Window will let you know if the PDA is Connected or Disconnected; if CleanOpsStaff-ProMobile is Installedor Not Installedon the PDA; and if CleanOpsStaff-ProMobile is Activated or Not Activated on the PDA

  4. If the Install status is Installed, click the 'Un-Install CleanOpsStaff-ProMobile on PDA' button.

    •  IMPORTANT NOTE: You can only uninstall CleanOpsStaff-ProMobile-PDA from a PDA after it has been deactivated. You can only deactivate CleanOpsStaff-ProMobile-PDA on a PDA from the PC/Laptop that activated it on the PDA.
