How to download and Install CleanOpsStaff-3ed Files

Steps may vary depending on the file download utility used by your computer.

Click on the below link to download the CleanOpsStaff-3ed Zip for all Excel versions (you can run in demo mode for free):
- CleanOpsStaff-3ed for Excel 2007 and Later
- Beta Version: CleanOpsStaff-3ed Beta for Excel 2007 and Later
Click Run.
Click Run again at the Unknown Publisher Security Warning box. Click OK and Yes if prompted to do so. Allow time for the files to download from the server to your computer.
After the Zip file is 100% downloaded and you have read the message box. Click Ok to prepare to unzip the CleanOpsStaff-3ed files.
- IMPORTANT NOTE: Do not use the Browse button. Do not change the "Unzip to folder" input box. Accept the default extract location of "C:\".
Click the Unzip button to unzip the files to your hard drive. Click the Close button after the files are successfully unzipped. IMPORTANT NOTE: If the computer main user does not have administrative rights on the computer, it is recommended that the IT staff give the main user temporary administrative rights and run Setup.exe while logged in under the main user login ID. This will register the application to the main user -- see full download instructions in user's manual. Rights can be revoked after the software is installed.
Now use the normal Windows File Explorer to open the C:\CleanOpsStaff-3ed Program Files folder.
Double click "Setup.exe" and click Install ('.exe' might be hidden on your computer). Click 'Ok' and 'Yes' when prompted to do so.
CleanOpsStaff-3ed will be installed and the CleanOpsStaff-3ed Program Manager will be launched.
You may now run CleanOpsStaff-3ed as Demo for free even if you have not purchased a product code from APPA. A shortcut to CleanOpsStaff-3ed will be added to your Start button under Hunter Consulting and Training.
To run CleanOpsStaff-3ed in the future click Start, run as you would all your other Windows programs (see below example table).
- Note: You may also place a shortcut of CleanOpsStaff-3ed on your desktop or pin it into your Start menu or pin it to your taskbar if you wish by right clicking on the program name in step 3.

Running CleanOpsStaff-3ed in Windows 8

Click the 'Search' icon in upper right of screen
Begin typing 'CleanOpsStaff-3ed' in the search box until the program appear in the search list
Click ' CleanOpsStaff-3ed' in the search results list

4a. Click 'Run CleanOpsStaff-3ed as Demo' to run in Demo mode for free (if program is not activated).

4b. Click 'Run Full Feature Mode' to run in full feature mode (program must be activated using your Product Code from APPA and your Activation Key from Hunter Consulting and Training).

Click the Windows Start button
Click 'All Program'

Scroll until the 'Hunter Consulting and Training' folder shortcut is visible
Click 'Hunter Consulting and Training'
Click 'CleanOpsStaff-3ed'

4a. Click 'Run CleanOpsStaff-3ed as Demo' to run in Demo mode for free (if program is not activated).

4b. Click 'Run Full Feature Mode' to run in full feature mode (program must be activated using your Product Code from APPA and your Activation Key from Hunter Consulting and Training).

If you have purchased a product code you may request an Activation Key so that you can run CleanOpsStaff-3ed in full feature mode. You can purchase a Product Code from APPA bookstore by purchasing APPA's Custodial Operational Guidelines for Educational Facilities Third Edition/CleanOpsStaff-3ed Package.
With your Product Code and Activation Key use the Activate CleanOpsStaff-3ed button in the left hand Active Button panel of the Program Manager to activate CleanOpsStaff-3ed.
It is highly recommended that your first step after downloading and installing CleanOpsStaff-3ed be to click the "Help Getting Started" button in the Program Manager and print and read the pdf document that will open after clicking the "Help Getting Started" button.
